I partner with a company called Alma to assist with insurance billing.

I am still seeing patients that have other insurance plans, but I would be considered out-of-network and charge my cash rates (listed above). Upon request, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement for my services.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

  • I do not offer psychotherapy services, only medication management. Psychotherapy is an incredibly important element of a comprehensive mental health treatment plan, and should always be done by a clinician with the training and skills to do it well. I have extensive training in psychopharmacology, but not in psychotherapy. While I often incorporate therapeutic techniques into my med management appointments, I do not do formal psychotherapy and can refer you to one of the many excellent therapists I work with in the community.

  • I do prescribe controlled substances such as stimulants and benzodiazepines when appropriate, however patients receiving these prescriptions must be able to come in for at least one in-person appointment.

  • When we are starting a new medication or making significant adjustments, I will schedule monthly follow-ups with you to ensure the medication is taking effect and that we are managing any side effects in a timely manner. Once you are feeling well and are on a stable medication regimen, we can space out follow-ups to every 3 months for refills. I require that patients are seen at least every 3 months in order to remain active in my practice.

I recommend monthly follow-up visits during pregnancy and the first 6 months postpartum, even if you are feeling well.

  • My office is located in Westlake Village, CA. I also offer telehealth for patients throughout California.

  • Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and missed appointments will be charged the full appointment fee.
