MEET BRITTANY

Welcome to my practice! I am a board-certified, UCLA-trained adult psychiatrist with a special focus on treating people during reproductive transitions such as pregnancy and postpartum. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Boston University and my medical degree from UCLA. I also completed my psychiatry residency at UCLA, where I served as Chief Resident of the inpatient units and Chief Resident of the Women’s Life Center, a world-renowned center for reproductive psychiatry. In addition to my private practice, I am the associate director of the Women’s Life Center and see patients in the UCLA Maternal Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, baking, exploring new restaurants, watching movies, and seeing as many musicals as I can!

MY APPROACH

Writing in a journal

My approach to psychiatric care is thorough and thoughtful. I get to know my patients very well and prescribe medications in a way that aligns with their goals and wishes. I provide close follow-up and am available to address any concerns between appointments as well. At this time, I am not offering psychotherapy services, but I believe psychotherapy is an incredibly important component of a comprehensive treatment program. I partner with several trusted therapists in the community, and can help find you a therapist if needed. I believe in collaborating closely with therapists as well as other medical providers so that your treatment team is working seamlessly together to help you achieve the best outcomes possible. Above all, I believe that a good relationship between a psychiatrist and patient is vital to the success of treatment. I always strive to provide a safe, honest, supportive environment that fosters trust and partnership between us.
